What is Beeline?

Beeline is a fun, family-friendly board game for ages 7+. Both educational and entertaining, Beeline offers fast-paced and unpredictable gameplay as players (Queen Bees) race to get their bees back after their colonies collapse.

Beeline was created by Kim and Frank Carey as a way to bridge the gap between entertainment and education and to help grow kids into bee-loving citizens of the world.

Beeline Gets a Taste of Urban Beekeeping

On Monday, August 22nd, I had the amazing experience of visiting an urban beekeeper in Astoria, Queens. For those who aren’t sure what that is, it’s exactly what it sounds like: the practice of keeping bees in an urban environment (Thank you for the official definition, Wikipedia!). Fun Fact: Beekeeping was illegal in NYC because health officials considered bees to be dangerous, but the ban was lifted in 2010 and now it’s thriving!

Both educational and fun, Beeline offers fast-paced and unpredictable gameplay as players (Queen Bees) race to get their bees back after their colonies collapse.

Beeline was created to bridge the gap between entertainment and education (shh, don’t tell your kids but they'll actually learn as they go!). There are so many games with anthropomorphic characters that implode and explode, and that's great fun and all. Beeline offers a positive, yet adventurous spin. Plus, bees are pretty cool once you get to learn about them.

The game can accommodate 2 to 6 players. And the beauty about Beeline is that anyone will enjoy the game -- children, parents, aunts, uncles, friends. Beeline offers entertainment for everyone. Recommended Ages: 7+.

A full game runs around 15 minutes, so perfect for multiple rematches. Game instructions are easy to learn, just a few simple rules and you're good to go!

We have prototypes and are currently in development mode. Sign up for the BeeList and be the first to hear when Beeline is ready for purchase.
